Ellen Hemphill was born in New York, raised in Connecticut and has lived in Georgia since 1984. Early on, Ellen was naturally drawn to visual art and had begun seriously persuing her career as an artist. Primarily self-taught, she has honed her skills through workshops and lessons under well-known contemporary artists. Her work consists largely of pet portraiture and landscapes. She is a master of beautiful color in her landscapes and in her pet art she is able to capture the "essence" of the animal and convey the love of her work to the viewer. She has won numerous awards in local and national exhibitions and has art hanging in private collections in Georgia, Florida, New York, Colorado, and Connecticut. Along with her pet art, Ellen accepts commisssion work for landscapes. She is a current member of the Atlanta Artists Center.

Price may vary based on complexity of the composition, free estimates provided. Add $50 for each extra animal. A deposit of 50% is necessary at the start of the project, balance due upon completion of artwork. A minimum of 3 photos are required (unless photo is exceptional). Artwork is delivered matted and wrapped in plastic.
